FROM WHEN TO WHEN DOES THE FESTIVAL TAKE PLACE? WHEN DOES ADMISSION START?
Afroland is a two-day festival on July 26 and 27, 2024. On July 26, admission is at 14:00, on July 27 at 13:00. General+ & VIP ticket holders will get access to the site 30 minutes earlier.
ARE THERE TICKETS FOR JUST ONE DAY?
The festival ticket for the complete festival vibe experience and also one-day tickets for July 26 or 27 are available at Eventim.de and Reservix.de.
ARE PARKING SPACES AVAILABLE NEAR THE FESTIVAL SITE?
Parking spaces are available directly at the festival location, which can be purchased with a "Festival Parking" ticket via the two portals.
WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO TRAVEL (FROM GERMANY/FROM ABROAD)?
Fulda - as the center of Germany - is located directly on the A7 motorway and has excellent regional and long-distance rail connections. Frankfurt Airport, Germany's largest commercial airport, is approx. 100 km away and can be reached via a 1-hour direct ICE train connection.
IS THERE A SHUTTLE TO THE FESTIVAL SITE?
Our shuttle bus runs regularly on Friday and Saturday from 12 noon between the stops ZOB (train station), Startschloss (city center) and the fairgrounds (festival). You can see the exact timetable by clicking on the yellow button above.
DO CHILDREN HAVE ACCESS TO THE FESTIVAL GROUNDS?
Children of all ages are welcome and receive free admission up to and including the age of 11.
WHERE IS THE BEST PLACE TO STAY DURING MY STAY IN FULDA?
Numerous hotels, guesthouses and apartments can be found, for example, at Planen (tourismus-fulda.de). The Tourist Information staff will also be happy to help.
CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD (AND DRINKS) ONTO THE FESTIVAL SITE?
It is forbidden to bring any food and drink onto the site. There is an extensive gastronomic offer for every taste on the premises.
WHAT OTHER ITEMS MAY NOT BE CARRIED?
-Weapons and weapon-like objects, chairs and stools, bags and rucksacks larger than A4, helmets, umbrellas
- any means of transportation such as skateboards, scooters, inline skates, etc.
-photographic cameras with interchangeable lens and/or focal length over 180 mm, video/film recorders and sound recorders, tablets and selfie sticks
-Animals
-Easily combustible and/or flammable objects, laser pointers, fireworks and firecrackers
-Flags and posters with extremist/offensive imprints
IS THE FESTIVAL BARRIER-FREE? ARE THERE REGULATIONS FOR HOLDERS OF DISABLED PASSES?
The festival site is barrier-free. Wheelchair users and holders of a severely disabled person's pass with mark B should contact the organizer, preferably by e-mail: freiekulturarbeit@fulda.de
